Navalny’s team published a map of the Russian Federation on its official website, on which they designated Crimea as Russian. The head of the network of regional headquarters of the Russian opposition leader Leonid Volkov refused to correct this mistake. This was reported by the Chairman of Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people Refat Chubarov via his Facebook page.
“On my initiative, an hour ago (at 18.45), a conversation took place with Leonid Volkov, during which I explained the unacceptability of such an action and proposed to bring the borders of the Russian Federation in line with the internationally recognized borders of Ukraine, drawing the Crimean peninsula from the borders of the Russian Federation on the image”,- the message said.
Chuborov noted that Volkov explained to him the impossibility of correcting it and refused to redo the map.
