On Thursday, March 4, during a briefing, the representative of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Maria Zakharova reacted to Canada’s statement of non-recognition of the annexation of Crimea, demanding that the country not interfere in the affairs of Russia.

“Canadian Foreign Minister Mark Garneau continued the bad tradition of the Canadian authorities to support the regime they patronize in Kyiv, and made another batch of statements about the illegal annexation and occupation of Crimea. I want to remind you once again that the Crimeans are in full compliance with the UN Charter and international legislation decided their fate in a general referendum”,- she said.

Zakharova called on Canada not to interfere in Russian affairs. In addition, she claims that in Crimea all freedoms guaranteed by the Russian Constitution are  observed.
