The European Union resisted the issue of Crimea’s ownership – Lavrov

February 12, 2021

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said on the YouTube channel Solovyov Live that Russia and the European Union could not extend the intergovernmental agreements due to the fact that the European Union resisted and wants to discuss in the agreement that Crimea is not part of Russia.

“This, I think, is already enough for us to move forward. I reminded him that for the same science and technology, for example, we have not been solving the issue of extending the intergovernmental agreement between Russia and the European Union on scientific and technical issues. It is not resolved because the European Union has resisted and wants to negotiate in an agreement that Crimea is not part of Russia. So, either we are interested in solving modern problems of economic relations, the development of modern technologies, or we want to resist it”,- Lavrov said.
