The Russian security forces did not allow a student of the Kherson State University to enter the territory of Ukraine from the occupied Crimea, who had to pass the session. This was reported by the rector of the university, deputy of the regional council Oleksandr Spivakovsky.
“Recently I received a message from a student living in Armiansk that she was not allowed to enter the territory of Ukraine at the administrative border. The need to pass the session was not sufficient reason. It reminded me of the Soviet Union when, in order to travel abroad, you had to obtain an exit permit. This is an unacceptable limitation of rights, which must be discussed at international platforms”,- the message said.
The rector noted that the university allows some of the students who find themselves in difficult circumstances to study remotely. According to him, now the university is able to provide any form of the educational process.
