On Thursday, February 11, the European Parliament adopted a resolution on Ukraine’s implementation of the Association Agreement. According to the document, the European Parliament condemned the large-scale and persistent violations of human rights and fundamental freedoms in the occupied Crimea, and also called on the EU countries to support the creation of the Crimean Platform. The press service of the department reported about this.

“The EP strongly condemns the large-scale and persistent violations of human rights and fundamental freedoms, such as freedom of expression, religion or belief and association, as well as the right to peaceful assembly, which are exercised by the Russian occupying forces in the temporarily occupied territory of Crimea and by Russian-backed armed groups, in the territories of the Donbas not controlled by the government”,- he document said.

The European Parliament condemned forced conscription, deportation, illegal and forced passports, restrictions on education and language rights, arbitrary detention, torture and other harsh conditions of detention.

The document also calls on the countries of the European Union to provide all the necessary support for the creation of the Crimean international platform, which would allow the efforts aimed at restoring the territorial integrity of Ukraine to become coordinated, formalized and systematized.
