On Monday, February 8, the US Congress registered a bill that prohibits the country’s government from recognizing the annexation of Crimea. The Voice of America journalist Oleksandr Yanevsky announced this via his Twitter page.

“A bill has been presented in the House of Representatives to prohibit the US government from recognizing the claims of the Russian Federation for sovereignty over Crimea”,- the statement said.

As Ukrinform reports, Chairman of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly Gerald Connolly during the international discussion “Ukraine-NATO: Vision 2030” stressed that the United States will never accept the forceful and illegal annexation of Crimea by Russia.

“We will continue to condemn Russia's destabilizing actions in eastern Ukraine, daily violations of the ceasefire, human rights violations and other illegal actions in this territory”,- he added.
