Members of the European Parliament wrote letters of solidarity to four political prisoners Ievhen Karakashev, Serhii Filatov, Osman Arifmemetov and Remzi Bekirov. This was reported by the human rights organization ZMINA.
“We, the Members of the European Parliament, are closely following the human rights violations that take place in Crimea. It is very painful to watch how the impunity of law enforcement officials for their abductions, arrests, attacks on activists has created an atmosphere of complete fear”,- the letter says.
MEPs want as many Europeans as possible from Prague, Brussels, Strasbourg, Geneva and many other European cities to realize that real human destinies are behind the problem of the occupation of Crimea and human rights violations, and so that hundreds of different people could express their solidarity and concern to Crimean political prisoners their fate.
