Consuls of the Consulate General of Ukraine in Rostov-on-Don visited Crimean Tatar political prisoners in Russian pre-trial detention centers. The persons involved in the so-called cases spoke about their health condition and the conditions of detention in the pre-trial detention center. This was reported by the Crimean Solidarity public association.
“We visited our citizens, Muslim Crimean Tatars, who are at different stages of trials – Ruslan Nagaev, Lenur Khalilov, Eldar Kantimirov, Ruslan Mesutov, arrested within the framework of the so-called Alushta Hizb ut-Tahrir case, Enver Omerov, Riza Omerov, Ayder Dzhapparov of the Bilohirsk Hizb ut-Tahrir case, as well as the recently unlawfully convicted Rustem Emiruseinov. The meetings took place starting on November 20, when quarantine measures were weakened, and our conversations could be conducted “live” and not through glass”,- said Consul General Taras Malyshevsky.
He noted that the detention facility is warm enough, there are no complaints either about the general conditions of stay, or about the food provided, since “a prison is a prison.”
Speaking about the state of health, the political prisoner Mesutov with the injured leg is feeling better, the swelling subsides, he is already able to walk, but the leg limps severely. Ayder Dzhapparov has not yet been able to consult a surgeon. He relieves his pain only with the help of painkillers, antibiotic removes inflammation.
“During our conversation, Enver ağa said that he was examined by specialists from the same departmental hospital, he signed papers about his readiness to “go to the hospital,” but it will only be possible with only one more easing of quarantine measures, in this case – in medical institutions of the Federal Penitentiary Service”,- he added.
