On Wednesday, November 11, at a meeting of the UN General Assembly, Deputy Permanent Representative of Ukraine to the UN Iurii Vitrenko said that due to Russia’s invasion of Crimea and eastern Ukraine, more than 13 thousand people died and almost 30 thousand were injured. The press service of the department reported about this.
“More than 13,000 people have been killed and nearly 30,000 injured due to Russia's invasion of Crimea and eastern Ukraine. At least half a million residents of Ukraine have become internally displaced persons”,- the message says.
The Permanent Mission of Russia to the UN noted that these statements by Ukraine are purely provocative.
“This is nothing more than another manifestation of anti-Russian propaganda, so we do not consider it necessary to respond to them. I will just say that the Russian Federation strictly complies with the obligations stipulated in the 1994 Budapest Memorandum to respect Ukraine's sovereignty”,- the Russian representative to the UN said.
