On Tuesday, November 10, Enver Seytosmanov, a political prisoner involved in the so-called Hizb ut-Tahrir case, turned 34 years old. He is forced to celebrate his third birthday in a Russian jail, where he was illegally placed by the Russian authorities. The staff of the Crimean Tatar Resource Center sincerely congratulates Enver Seitosmanov on his birthday! We wish you speedy release and reunification with your family and loved ones, good health, patience, unbending will and prosperity!
Recall that on May 10, 2018, in the village of Orlyne, near Sevastopol, Russian security forces searched the house of two brothers – Ernest Seytosmanov and Enver Seitosmanov. The first was released after interrogation, and Enver was arrested on suspicion of involvement in the Hizb-ut-Tahrir organization banned in Russia. He has been illegally detained for over a year now. During this period, his right to a fair trial and the highest attainable standard of physical and mental health were repeatedly violated in relation to him.
On July 4, 2019, the North Caucasian District Military Court extended the term of Enver Seitosmanov's detention until December 20, 2019.
Earlier, the Russian investigation toughened Seytosmanov's accusation from Part 2 of Article 205.5 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (participation in the activities of a terrorist organization) to Part 1 (“organization of the activities of a terrorist organization”).
