“The Russian occupation authorities turned Crimea into a peninsula of fear” – Ukraine reports to the United Nations.

On Tuesday, November 3, during the 75th session of the UN General Assembly in New York, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine informed the international community about the situation on the peninsula, stressing that the Russian occupation authorities have turned Crimea into a peninsula of fear. This is reported by the press service of the department.

Emine Dzhaparova, the First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine , noted that the occupier continues the policy of illegal imprisonment of Ukrainians and Crimean Tatars to keep them further hostage in Russia.

"The deprivation of the right for land, religion, education, and language, the forced citizenship, the recruitment into the Russian army, the ban of Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people, as well as the oppression against the Ukrainian Orthodox Church – all these violations of human rights and international humanitarian law, according to Emine Dzhaparova, will receive a proper assessment from the UN, " the message says.

Dzhaparova stressed that it is crucial to continue monitoring the problems in the occupied Crimea by the Secretary-General.
