The Bureau of Democracy, Human Rights, and Labor of the US Department of State calls on the Russian Federation to release three Crimean Tatar journalists – Osman Arifmemetov, Remzi Bekirov, and Rustem Sheikhaliev. The occupier unjustly detained the men in Crimea.
“Russian authorities in Crimea unjustly detained three Crimean Tatar journalists, Osman Arifmemetov, Remzi Bekirov, and Rustem Sheikhaliev, in March 2019. They face terrorism charges for reporting on human rights abuses. We call for their immediate release,” – the message on Twitter says.
