In the occupied Crimea in October, 4 new criminal cases were recorded against residents of Crimea under Article 328 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (evasion from service in the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation). This was reported by the Crimean Human Rights Group.
“The Crimean Human Rights Group (CHRG) has recorded 4 new criminal cases against residents of the peninsula under Article 328 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. The sanction of this article provides for punishment from a fine of up to two hundred thousand rubles to imprisonment for up to two years”,- the message said.
It is noted that for the entire period of the occupation of the peninsula, 145 criminal cases were initiated and transferred to the court against the Crimeans who wanted to avoid being drafted into the Russian army. A verdict has already been passed on 140 of them, 5 more are under consideration.
