On Monday, October 5, during an online briefing, First Deputy Foreign Minister Emine Dzheppar announced the creation of an international Crimean platform, to which Ukraine plans to invite Russia. The press service of the department reported about this.
“The Crimean platform will work at several levels. The first is the highest political level, which will be joined by foreign heads of state. The second is the level of foreign ministers and defense ministers. The third is the inter-parliamentary level. And the fourth is the level of experts”,- Dzeppar said.
It is noted that Ukraine has decided to invite the Russian Federation to participate in the events of the Crimean platform, but does not expect the Russian side to accept this invitation.
The Deputy Minister also said that as part of the platform, it is planned to hold the Crimean summit in 2021. The purpose of the event is to form a coalition of states that will join the initiative and help Ukraine to maintain a high level of political discourse about the consequences of the occupation of Crimea.
