The European Union applied sanctions against 177 people and 48 organizations for actions that undermine the territorial integrity, sovereignty and independence of Ukraine. This was reported by the press service of the EU Delegation to Ukraine.
"Sanctions are currently being imposed on 177 individuals and 48 organizations. They concern a ban on entry and the freezing of assets. A ban on entry prevents entry into or transit through the territory of the European Union of persons who have been placed on the sanctions list, funds and economic resources of both individuals and organizations. In addition, EU citizens and companies are prohibited from providing funds to persons on the list”,- the statement said.
It is noted that the European Union does not recognize the illegal annexation of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol by the Russian Federation. EU continues to condemn Russia's violation of international law. The European Union also remains steadfast in its support for Ukraine's territorial integrity, sovereignty and independence.
