The Prosecutor’s Office of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, the Office of the Prosecutor General and the Crimean Human Rights Group sent the ninth information message to the Office of the Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court (ICC), in which they noted that the Russian Federation continues to pursue a policy of promoting military service on the peninsula, including among children. This was reported by the press service of the ARC Prosecutor’s Office.
“The Prosecutor's Office of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol, together with the Office of the Prosecutor General and the non-governmental public organization Crimean Human Rights Group, sent the ninth information message to the Office of the Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court (ICC) concerning the facts of propaganda of military service on the peninsula, including among children”,- the message said.
It is noted that the state policy of the Russian Federation in relation to the militarization of the Crimean people is systematic and wide-ranging in nature and is aimed not only at young men, but also at children from preschool age.
“For example, in cadet schools, military educational institutions, in secondary schools, paramilitary classes are being created, where children are taught tactics and strategies of military operations. Such training is carried out, including by regular officers of the Russian Defense Ministry”,- the department added.
