On Friday, September 25, the prosecutor’s office of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea began criminal proceedings on the fact of the illegal detention of a resident of the Odessa region on the territory of the occupied peninsula. The press service of the department reported about this.
“It has been established that a Ukrainian citizen came to Crimea in early September on vacation, and on September 22, the man was detained by the invaders in Yevpatoria for allegedly public calls for extremist activities on the peninsula”,- the message said.
It is noted that the invaders took the detainee to the city of Simferopol, where the so-called court chose a measure of restraint for him in the form of detention.
The prosecutor's office began criminal proceedings on the fact of the illegal detention on the territory of the occupied peninsula of a 22-year-old resident of the Odessa region (part 2 of article 146 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). The sanction of the article provides for criminal responsibility in the form of imprisonment for up to ten years.
