During his speech at the 75th session of the UN General Assembly, Lithuanian President Gitanas Nauseda recalled that Lithuania continues to support Ukrainian independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity and does not recognize the occupation of Crimea. Sergiy Kyslytsya, Permanent Representative of Ukraine to the UN, reported this via his Facebook page.
"Lithuania welcomes Ukraine's efforts towards negotiations to end the war and calls on the Russian Federation to move closer to a sustainable political settlement. Any future agreements should be based on respect for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine – no other solution is possible”,- he said.
The President noted that Lithuania continues to support Ukrainian independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity within the internationally recognized borders and will never recognize the occupation of Crimea.
