Occupants held regular military exercises in Crimea

September 21, 2020

On Saturday, September 19, despite the spread of coronavirus infection, another illegal military exercise was held in the occupied Crimea, during which young officers for the first time flew combat fighters on their own. This was reported by the press service of the Russian Defense Ministry.

“During the planned training flights, young officers for the first time flew combat fighters independently under the supervision of experienced pilots. In the sky, the pilots worked out the elements of simple aerobatics, independently made takeoffs and landings, and also practiced the interrupted approach exercise”,- the message says.

It is noted that 15 young pilots participated in training flights, 3 Su-27UB combat training fighters were involved.

We remind that military exercises, propaganda of military service and conscription into the ranks of the armed forces of the Russian Federation are regularly held in the occupied Crimea. The Russian military exercises are destroying the ecosystem of the peninsula and are a flagrant violation of international law.

Earlier, NATO in its statement on Crimea condemned Russia's ongoing large-scale military build-up in Crimea and expressed concern over Russia's efforts and announced plans to further build up military power in the Black Sea region.
