On Wednesday, September 9, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine decided to cancel self-isolation for students and applicants from the temporarily occupied territories who are planning or are already studying in the territory controlled by the government of Ukraine. The Ministry of Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories reported about this.
According to the decree, apart from individuals enrolled in educational institutions located on the mainland of Ukraine, one of the parents (adoptive parents), guardians or other legal representatives of applicants, students or pupils may not undergo self-isolation.
“We are doing our best to simplify access to educational processes for young people from the TOT to ensure the right to education for all children in Ukraine. The abolition of compulsory self-isolation for students from the TOT is an extremely important condition for the accessibility of the educational process”,- said Inna Holovanchuk, Deputy Minister for Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories of Ukraine.
Reference: the document stipulates not to distribute self-isolation obligations for such categories of individuals:
– who intend to enroll educational institutions located in the territory where government bodies exercise their powers in full;
– who are enrolled in education in educational institutions located in the territory where state authorities exercise their powers in full;
– applicants for education studying in educational institutions located in the territory where government bodies exercise their powers in full;
– one of the parents (adoptive parents), guardian, trustee or other legal representative accompanying the aforementioned persons to educational institutions located in the territory where state authorities exercise their powers in full.
