On Monday, September 7, on the anniversary of the exchange of political prisoners between Ukraine and the Russian Federation, lawyer Nikolai Polozov said that the case of the Ukrainian sailors of war had not yet been closed, but only suspended. He announced this via his Facebook page.
“The case of the Ukrainian sailors has not been closed either. It has only been suspended, and they are also under the sword of Damocles of the activity and interests of the Investigative Board of the FSB of Russia”,- the message says.
Polozov noted that after the release of Edem Bekirov, Russian law enforcement officers and the court decided to pretend that they did not know anything about his release as part of the exchange and put him on the wanted list.
“It is quite obvious that the dynamics of the seizure of new hostages and the fabrication of such cases are disappointing. People will continue to be seized and tortured in jail and colonies, especially in the occupied Crimea. a closed cycle”,- he stressed.
We remind that on September 7, 2019, a plane with 24 prisoners of war and 11 political prisoners who were illegally detained in Russian prisons and pre-trial detention centers landed at the Kyiv Boryspil airport. All prisoners were released as part of the prisoner exchange between Ukraine and Russia.
