The Russian court will consider the complaint against the extension of the arrest term for political prisoner Ivan Yatskin

September 1, 2020

On Thursday, September 3, the Moscow City Court will consider an appeal against the decision to extend the measure of restraint to political prisoner Ivan Yatskin, who is accused of alleged high treason in the form of espionage. Lawyer Nikolay Polozov reported about it via his Facebook page.

“The Moscow City Court has appointed the consideration of the appeal of the defense of the Ukrainian political prisoner Ivan Yatskin, in connection with the extension of his term of detention, for September 3 at 10:30”,- the statement said.

We remind that at the beginning of December 2019, Russian security forces in the occupied Crimea detained Ivan Yatskin, a resident of Simferopol, on charges of alleged high treason. Subsequently, the man was transferred to Moscow. He was arrested until March 16, 2020. Ivan Yatskin's lawyer, Nikolai Polozov, signed a non-disclosure agreement in the so-called case.
