Occupants allowed to host international sports competitions in Crimea

The so-called head of the occupied Crimea, Sergei Aksenov, allowed holding interregional, national and international sports events, despite the spread of coronavirus infection. He made the corresponding changes to his decree on “high alert.”

“In clause 4: the second paragraph of sub-clause 4.1 shall be stated as follows: the effect of this sub-clause does not apply to cultural and entertainment events for the demonstration of films, sporting events in sports, which are provided in the open air, with the participation of professional athletes, to the holding of official physical culture and sports events included in the unified calendar plan of interregional, all-Russian and international physical culture events and sports events”,- the document said.

It is noted that the total number of participants in the competition cannot exceed 50 people, and visitors must occupy no more than 10% of the total capacity of the sports facility.
