Residents of Armyansk continue to complain about the appearance of an unpleasant smell in the ambient air. This was announced by the so-called head of the administration of the city Vasyl Telizhenko via his Facebook page, adding that this issue is under the control of the relevant entity.
“According to the information of AF LLC “Titanium Investments”, on August 19, 2020, after a long downtime, sulfuric acid production was launched. There was a release of sulfur dioxide, which led to a local excess of the MPC of the pollutant in the air of the working area on the territory of the industrial site of the enterprise. The concentration of the pollutant has no effect on the health of the local residents”,- the message says.
It is noted that for three days, four times a day measurements of the air will be taken in order to motitor the level of harmful substances in the air.
In addition, the corresponding measurements were made by the laboratory of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia in the Republic of Crimea, which showed that the air pollution level does not exceed the relevant standart.
