Residents of occupied Sevastopol are concerned about the condition of the Belbek River. They believe that unknown individuals could have installed “unauthorized structures”. This was announced by the Sevprirodnadzor state agency via its Facebook page.
“Residents are concerned about the condition of the Belbek river, including fears about the installation of unauthorized structures. In the current month, inspectors of Sevprirodnadzor during raids recorded the use of the river without appropriate rights and in violation of environmental legislation. Control and supervisory measures are now being carried out”,- the message said.
It is noted that the reasons for the low water content of the river are a complex of anthropogenic and natural factors. In recent years, there has been a significant deficit of precipitation. In the summer period of last year, the shortage was significant, so the rainy autumn could not compensate the water reserves.
