Rostislav Zamlynsky, First Deputy Minister for Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories of Ukraine, said on the air of Radio Crimea.Realities that the temporary suspension of the checkpoint operation between the Kherson region and the occupied Crimea could be extended if this issue is reconsidered.
Zamlynsky stressed that the rapid introduction of restrictions on the instructions of President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky dated August 8 is due solely to the government's concern for the health of Ukrainian citizens.
“When the situation with the epidemic changes almost every hour, it is necessary to make prompt decisions. Even if someone does not like them, we must think about all citizens of Ukraine. Secondly, the order provides for humanitarian exceptions”,- he explained.
We remind that the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine decided to temporarily suspend the operation of the checkpoint between the Kherson region and the occupied Crimea from August 9 to August 30, 2020.
