On Monday, August 10, a new water conduit was launched in the occupied Crimea, which connects the Taigan reservoir of the Belogorsk district and Simferopol. This pipeline will be guarded by 180 military men. This was reported by the Russian agency TASS.
"More than 800 people and over 250 units of various equipment were involved in the work, more than 32 thousand tons of cargo were delivered, the total length of the pipeline was more than 800 km, 15 lines," Russian Deputy Defense Minister Dmitry Bulgakov said at the opening.
In addition, 180 servicemen will guard this pipeline. The battalion will be divided into three garrisons to serve on the pipeline. In this mode, the pumping of water between the reservoirs will be carried out as long as there is a need for it.
