On Friday, August 7, despite the spread of coronavirus infection, another illegal military exercise was held in the occupied Crimea, during which the military conducted live firing from multiple launch rocket systems. This was reported by the press service of the Russian Defense Ministry.
“According to the plan of the exercise, the scouts found the place where the forces of the simulated enemy were concentrated. The data received were transmitted to the command post to the head of the exercise. The command decided to defeat the enemy by using the Grad multiple launch rocket system. Having received the coordinates of the target, the artillerymen took firing positions on the move and fired a salvo at the coordinates obtained, successfully hitting both single and group targets”,- the message says.
We remind that military exercises, propaganda of military service and conscription into the ranks of the armed forces of the Russian Federation are regularly held in the occupied Crimea. The Russian military exercises are destroying the ecosystem of the peninsula and are a flagrant violation of international law.
Earlier, NATO in its statement on Crimea condemned Russia's ongoing large-scale military build-up in Crimea and expressed concern over Russia's efforts and announced plans to further build up military power in the Black Sea region.
