So-called court in Crimea extended house arrest for the so-called Hizb ut-Tahrir case defendant Amet Suleymanov

On Wednesday, August 5, the so-called Kyiv District Court of Simferopol extended the house arrest of the defendant in the so-called third Bakhchisaray Hizb ut-Tahrir case Amet Suleymanov for three months – until November 9, 2020, despite the fact that his health was deteriorating. This was reported by the Crimean Solidarity public association.

Lawyer Lilia Hemedzhi stressed that the health of her client is deteriorating significantly, he needs urgent heart surgery. During his stay under house arrest, he was repeatedly called an ambulance.

We remind that on March 11, Russian security officials raided the homes of Crimean Tatars in Bakhchisaray and the Bakhchisaray district. Searches were carried out in the house of Seytumer Seytumerov, Shukri Seitumerov, Amet Suleymanov, Seidamet Mustafayev, Rustem Seitmemetov, Ayder Suleymanov and Seytumer Seytumerov. The activists were detained. On March 12, the so-called Kyiv District Court of Simferopol sent Amet Suleymanov under house arrest. On March 13, the so-called Kyiv District Court of Simferopol chose a measure of restraint in the so-called third Bakhchisaray Hizb ut-Tahrir case in the form of detention.
