The volume of water in the reservoirs of the occupied Crimea continues to decrease

August 5, 2020

The volume of water in the reservoirs of the occupied Crimea continues to decrease: by the beginning of August, the total volume of water amounted to 74.86 million cubic meters, which is 8.45 million cubic meters less than a month ago. This is reported by the so-called Hydrometeorological Center of the annexed peninsula.

It is noted that heavy rains and downpours did not contribute to the improvement of the hydrological situation in the basins of most rivers.

“Only on July 10, there was a short-term increase in the water levels of certain rivers by 2-13 cm and on July 15 by 25-65 cm”,- the so-called Hydrometeorological Center explained.

We remind that on August 4, in the village of Myrne, Simferopol region, an emergency regime was introduced due to a shortage of water. The limitation of water supply affected about 500 people, they are supplied with water four times a day.
