The Prosecutor’s Office of the Autonomy, together with the MDNP in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol, the SSU in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the SSU Counterintelligence Department, conducted an authorized search of a member of the illegal armed formation “Self-Defense of Crimea”. “The pre-trial investigation established that a citizen of Ukraine, being a member of the illegal armed formation “Self-defense of Crimea”, during February-March 2014 served at a checkpoint located at the entrance to the city of Yalta, near the town of Massandra of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea. At the same time, the suspect, being armed, carried out illegal checks of documents of Ukrainian citizens, searched vehicles, and also took part in their detention on the territory of the peninsula”,- the message said.
It is noted that according to the results of the searches conducted on June 4, 2020, including at the place of residence of the suspect, confirming materials to assist the occupation authorities, things and documents that are evidence of his illegal activities were found and seized.
