Hollywood actor Steven Seagal registered a construction company with Russian politician Aleksandr Babakov, who is on the US Treasury’s sanctions list. Some time later, Seagal re-registered the company to avoid trouble. This was reported by the Baza media agency.
The Hollywood actor registered a new company with Senator Aleksandr Babakov, who is on the US Treasury's sanctions list. Three weeks later, Seagal decided to hide his connection with the Russian politician, as violation of US law in terms of sanctions was threatened with a penalty ranging from a million dollar fine to imprisonment.
“So, on July 8, 2020, Steven Seagal, Aleksandr Babakov, and also Evgeny Zobnin established the Gorki Investment Company company with a profile of “real estate management.” And on July 22, Seagal and Babakov leave it, but on the same day the American actor becomes co-owner of a company with almost the same name – Gorki Holding Company”,- the publication added.
