July 29, 2020

Ukraine’s Permanent Representative to the UN Serhii Kyslytsia informed the UN Secretary General about holding another illegal military parade of the Black Sea Fleet units in the occupied Crimea on the occasion of the Day of the Russian Navy. This was reported by the press service of the department.

"In particular, in his letter S. Kyslytsia noted that the Russian" naval parade "in Sevastopol on July 26 violates the norms of the international law, including the General Assembly resolutions. Ukraine condemns the ongoing militarization of Crimea, which constitutes a significant threat to regional security," – the message says.

It is noted that the letter will be circulated as an official document of the General Assembly and the UN Security Council.
