On Tuesday, July 21, the so-called Nakhimov Court of Sevastopol interrogated witnesses in the case of pro-Russian leftist activist Valery Bolshakov, who is accused of publicly calling for extremist activities. This was reported by the Crimea.Realities media agency.

It is noted that one of the attesting witnesses, who were interrogated in court, admitted that he was present during the search in the activist's apartment at the invitation of friends from the FSB of Russia. Earlier it was about a random invitation from a teacher.

“Another witness described Valery Bolshakov's behavior at a solo picket and said that he no longer remembers whether the activist had called for extremist actions. In addition, according to the witness, the investigator suggested the essence of the testimony in court. Among the prosecution witnesses there are residents of ODDLR”,- says the message.

Also, the so-called court took into consideration the testimonies of the members of the local Cossack formations. A representative of the Cossack society said that he was not familiar with Bolshakov and learned about the essence of his statements on social networks from the chieftain. The chieftain also asked to testify against Bolshakov, because “it is insulting for the Cossacks.”

We remind that on June 10, 2019, the so-called Nakhimov District Court of Sevastopol sentenced activist Valery Bolshakov, accused of publicly calling for extremist activities due to his publication on VKontakte criticizing the authorities and “calling for the establishment of the dictatorship of the proletariat” instead of the “Putin regime”, to two and a half years of probation and banned Bolshakov from holding public office. In August, the so-called Sevastopol City Court, when considering an appeal, overturned the earlier sentence to Bolshakov.
