First Deputy Foreign Minister of Ukraine Emine Dzheppar met with the EU Representative in Ukraine, Ambassador Matti Maasikas, during which the interlocutors discussed the security policy and humanitarian situation in the occupied Crimea. The press service of the department reported about this.
“The EU representative has been informed in detail about the security policy and humanitarian situation in the Russian-occupied Crimea. Emine Dzheppar thanked the EU for its clear position on non-recognition of the illegal holding of a referendum on amendments to the Russian Constitution in Crimea and called for the imposition of sanctions against its organizers”,- the message says.
In addition, Emine Emine Dzheppar noted the disposition of the Ukrainian side to achieve visible results of the Summit, which should confirm the high dynamics of relations between Ukraine and the EU. First of all, the importance of the early signing of the Agreement on the Joint Aviation Space between Ukraine and the EU was noted, which will be a significant step in the framework of sectoral integration and will ensure deepening of contacts between people.
