The Prosecutor’s Office of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea began criminal proceedings on the fact of inciting ethnic hatred

On Friday, July 17, the Prosecutor’s Office of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea began criminal proceedings on the fact of inciting ethnic hatred in the publication of the Crimean blogger. The press service of the department reported about this.

“The prosecutor's office of the autonomy, at the request of the Representation of the President of Ukraine in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, began criminal proceedings on the fact of committing actions aimed at inciting national, racial or religious hatred and hatred, at humiliating national honor and dignity, contained in the publication “There are three problems in Crimea: water, Ukrainian passports and Crimean Tatars” by one of the Crimean bloggers (Part 1 of Article 161 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine)”,- the message says.

In addition, the publication contains possible manifestations of national discrimination in the form of inciting interethnic hatred against the Crimean Tatar people through the use of hate speech.
