On Friday, July 17, in the so-called Supreme Court of the occupied Crimea, a preliminary court session was held on the case against Refat Chubarov, during which the judge forbade lawyer Nikolai Polozov to defend the head of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people Refat Chubarov. Polozov reported this via his Facebook page.
“According to my petition, the court made a decision to refuse to satisfy it, arguing that earlier in this case I defended Akhtem Chiygoz, which means that in the future, there may be potential contradictions in the position of my former client (Akhtem Chiygoz) and the current one (Refat Chubarov ), in connection with which “problems may arise in the future in the process”,- the message says.
But there were absolutely no grounds for making such a decision. In this regard, it was decided to appeal against the illegal refusal of the so-called judge of the Supreme Court of Crimea to satisfy the application for Polozov's admission as a defender.
