Criminal proceedings initiated on the conduct of mass searches in Crimea – ARC prosecutor’s office

Under the procedural leadership of the autonomy prosecutor’s office, the Main Directorate of the National Police in the ARC began criminal proceedings due to mass searches in occupied Crimea under Part 2 of Article 162 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (violation of the inviolability of the dwelling). This was reported by the press service of the prosecutor’s office.

“According to the results of illegal searches, 6 citizens of Ukraine were taken in custody by the so-called law enforcement officers in an unknown direction, in case of confirmation of information about their detention, the actions of the so-called security officials will be provided with a corresponding legal assessment”,- the statement said.

We remind that on July 7, Russian security forces conducted mass searches in the dwellings of Crimean Tatars in Bakhchisaray, Krasnohvardiiske and Simferopol regions of the occupied Crimea. Seven people were detained. All were taken to the FSB in Simferopol.
