The Commander of the Naval Forces of Ukraine Oleksii Neyizhpapa in an interview with the Duma newspaper said that at the moment the Navy is preparing for a full-scale military confrontation with Russia. In addition, he does not exclude the possibility that Russian troops will try to break into the south of the Kherson region to get Ukrainian water supply for the occupies Crimea.
“We are preparing for a full-scale military confrontation, realizing that if this happens, then, unfortunately, there will be a lot of losses – both for our soldiers and the civilian population. Many people don’t understand this now – although the country has been fighting for the seven years now”,- said Neyizhpapa.
In addition, he does not exclude the option in which Russian troops will try to break into the south of the Kherson region in order to allow water to flow from the Dnieper to the North Crimean Canal.
