On Thursday, July 2, German Ambassador to Ukraine Anka Feldguzen during a meeting with First Deputy Foreign Minister of Ukraine Emine Dzheppar said that the German position on supporting the territorial integrity of Ukraine remains unchanged. Germany will continue to support international sanctions against the Russian Federation until the de-occupation of Crimea. This was reported by the press service of the Foreign Ministry.
Emine Dzheppar condemned the visit of European politicians including Germany’s representative Gunnar Lindemann, in the occupied Crimea to “monitor” the Russian referendum and asked the German ambassador to officially respond to this visit.
“In response, the German ambassador emphasized that the German position on supporting the territorial integrity of Ukraine remains unchanged. Germany does not recognize and does not cooperate with the occupation authorities on the peninsula and supports international sanctions imposed as a result of Russian occupation of Crimea”,- the statement said.
