A military parade in the occupied Crimea during a pandemic is another crime of the Russian Federation – Presidential representative of Ukraine in the AR of Crimea

June 25, 2020

Tamila Tasheva, Deputy Head of the Presidential Representative Office in the Crimea, said that a military parade in the occupied Crimea during a pandemic is another crime of the Russian Federation against the population of the peninsula. In addition, such actions are one of the components of a consistent Russian policy to distort the historical truth about the Second World War. This was reported by the press service of the department.

“A military parade in the territory of the temporarily occupied Crimea during a pandemic is another crime of the Russian Federation against the population. Such actions are one of the components of a consistent Russian policy of distorting the historical truth about the Second World War and concealing the crimes of the Soviet government during the deportation of the Crimean Tatar people, Armenians, Bulgarians and the Greeks in May 1944, justifying the occupation of the peninsula in 2014, inciting hostility and modern propaganda of the war and turning Crimea into a military base”,- Tamila Tasheva emphasized.

We remind that on June 24, in the occupied Crimea, a military parade was held, dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the victory in World War II. Despite the spread of coronavirus infection, participants violated social distancing restrictions, and some of them did not even wear any masks.
