The Ukrainian mission to the UN expressed strong protest in connection with the speech of the representative of the occupying administration of Crimea at the 43rd session of the UN Human Rights Council in Geneva. Thus, the Russian Federation is trying to legitimize the annexation of the peninsula. This was reported by the press service of the Mission via Twitter.
"The Russian delegation tried to abuse «hybrid» format of #HRC43 by demonstrating video message by representative of occupying administration in #Crimea during ID on Ukraine. Ukraine expressed its resolute protest against such a breach of Rules of Procedure and relevant #UNGA resolutions",- the statement says.
It is noted that in this way Russia is trying to legitimize the annexation of Crimea.
