Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Oleksii Danylov said that Russia is trying to force the world to recognize Crimea as their territory, but this, Danylov believes, is impossible. He said this in an interview with channel 24.
“The issue of Crimea is also on the agenda, and we are clearly aware that if the Russian Federation says that let us stop the war, then we cannot say that we will agree that Crimea is Russian”,- the NSDC secretary said.
“And today Russia claims that Crimea is Russian territory and while they are under EU and US sanctions today, their main task is for everyone to recognize that they are the owners of the Crimean peninsula. This is impossible,” Danylov said.
Earlier in an interview with liga.net, he said that the country's leadership has a plan for the de-occupation of Crimea, but he cannot disclose its details.
