Venues for discussing the issue of Crimea are not enough – Zelensky

May 20, 2020

On Wednesday, May 20, during a press conference in Kyiv, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky said that he was discussing the issue of Crimea with all world leaders, but the international venues that exist are not enough to talk about the peninsula.

“I negotiate it (the issue of Crimea) with all Europeans leaders whom I meet. Everyone understands that the sanctions policy, despite the fact that all European countries have tied it to the situation in the Donbas. Both the USA, Canada, and the majority of the EU countries – they all understand this sanctions policy and insist that until Crimea returns, sanctions will not be lifted”, – Zelensky said.

The President emphasized that the international venues that exist are not enough to talk about Crimea, and the issue of the peninsula is not raised in the Minsk format.
