On Wednesday, May 20, during a press conference in Kyiv, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky announced that negotiations are ongoing with the Russian Federation on a possible exchange of political prisoners after COVID-19. This was reported by the press service of the Office of the President.
“Now we are talking with the Russian Federation about a possible exchange after COVID-19 pandemic, about the return of our political prisoners who are in Russia or in prisons of Crimea”,- Zelensky said.
The President noted that no one is letting the issue of “our people and the the return of our territories and the illegally annexed Crimea” to fade away.
