On Wednesday, May 13, during a meeting of the operational headquarters to counter COVID-19, the so-called head of the occupied Crimea, Sergei Aksenov, said that 30 new cases of coronavirus were recorded on the peninsula per day, 23 of them in the Saky district.
“Over the past day, 30 people were infected with COVID-19, 23 of them are the Saky district: 22 are currently located in the Saky observation chamber and 1 person is located outside the observation chamber, 3 people are located in Krasnoperekopsk district, the village of Pochetnoe, 2 people are in Yalta city and 2 in Alushta city ”,- he said.
Aksenov noted that the experts of the Federal Service for Surveillance on Consumer Rights Protection and Human Wellbeing department in Crimea and Sevastopol are conducting an epidemiological investigation, and a circle of contacts has been identified for which preventive measures are being taken.
Currently, 239 cases of coronavirus infection have been registered in the occupied Crimea. In Sevastopol there are 129 coronavirus infection cases.
