Human Rights Commissioner of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Liudmyla Denisova appealed to the Ombudswoman of the Russian Federation Tatyana Moskalkova with a demand to ensure the provision of PPE to all illegally detained citizens of Ukraine, especially in conditions of coronavirus infection. She announced this via her Facebook page.
Denisova noted that Server Mustafayev and Nariman Memedeminov, who are illegally held in the Russian colonies, are not provided with medical masks, disposable gloves and disinfectants. But theoccupants offer for own money to purchase the necessary personal protective equipment in an online store.
"I demand the appropriate response of the Commissioner for Human Rights in the Russian Federation, Tatyana Moskalkova, to take urgent measures to ensure the illegally imprisoned citizens of Ukraine with PPE and provide adequate health care, taking into account the recommendations of the World Health Organization and the UN Subcommittee on the Prevention of Torture dated 25.03.2020," – the message said.
