May 5, 2020

In the reservoirs of the occupied Crimea, the volume of water decreased by half in comparison with 2019. The total water supply in early May amounted to 94.78 million cubic meters. This is reported by the so-called Hydrometeorological Center of the annexed peninsula.

The Hydrometeorological Center of the occupied Crimea reported that in the reservoirs of the peninsula, the volume of water has almost decreased by half in comparison to last year: 204.955 million cubic meters in 2019, 110.175 million cubic meters in 2020.

“The absence of runoff-forming precipitation contributed to the establishment of low, uncharacteristic for this time of year, water content in all river basins. Drought continues to to damage most mudflow rivers of Alushta, Sudak and Feodosiya Districts”,- the report said.
