Six years ago, on May 3, 2014, about 5 thousand Crimean Tatars from all over the peninsula went to Armyansk to the administrative border to meet their leader – Mustafa Dzhemilev. Earlier, allegedly by decision of the so-called Russian authorities, he was banned to enter his homeland until 2019, but he did not sign any documents. Subsequently, hundreds of the so-called criminal cases were opened, suspended sentences, fines were imposed on the participants of the meeting. In addition, the Crimean Tatars were detained, summoned to the FSB departments and forced to provide the so-called “explanations”. Despite the end of the five-year ban on entry, Mustafa Dzhemilev to this day cannot get to his homeland, as the invaders filed several so-called criminal cases against him and put him on the wanted list.
