The permanent representative of the President of Ukraine in the ARC, Anton Korinevich, in an interview with the “Today” website, said that in the conditions of a coronavirus infection, Crimea is cut off from the civilized world, since the peninsula cannot receive supplies of tests or medicines from abroad due to the occupation by the Russian Federation. Not a single foreign country will do this.
“The situation in the temporarily occupied Crimea and Sevastopol is not very good, not to say, very difficult.
Indeed, there are not enough medicines, remedies and tests. Some hospitals are closing down because there are suspicions that the whole hospital is infected, like in Armyansk or Sevastopol.
"Crimea is cut off from the civilized world. Because of the occupation by the Russian Federation, Crimea cannot receive supplies of tests or medicines from abroad, as, of course, not a single foreign country will do this," Korinevich emphasized.
The permanent representative of the President of Ukraine in the ARC noted that Crimea had been a grey closed zone before, but in a situation of a coronavirus pandemic, Crimea turned out to be in even worse situation.
“Of course, the occupation authorities provide some data. You also see them on the Internet. But you can’t verify them in any way. We understand that these figures may not correspond to reality, since no international organization or international observer is responsible for them or observers who can confirm them. Therefore, we are sure that there is a fact of silencing the real situation", – he added.
